How to Spot a Scam Auto Body Shop

Our Story

Werner's Crash Shop was opened in late 1973 by Werner Kozber at 710 Taylor Avenue North on the south side of Queen Anne near the Seattle Center. It has been in continuous operation since that time. During the period from 1982 to 1992 Werner had two locations. The original on Taylor Avenue and another at 2600 -15th Avenue West on the west side of Queen Anne. The second shop provided additional space to process the work from four automotive dealerships in the downtown area. As the dealerships moved away from downtown Seattle Werner decided in 1992 to scale back to the original location. He leased the building on 15th West to Accucraft Collision.

Today the original shop at 710 Taylor Avenue North services the Queen Anne, Magnolia and downtown areas. After thirty six years Werner's Crash Shop is still going strong and moving forward. In the last several years many insurance companies have instituted programs using specialized computer programs and photographs to estimate work. Werner's has incorporated this new technology as part of the business. We are also part of Farmer's Insurance Company's referral program as well as servicing other fleet accounts.

A continuing program of employee education insures top quality work. All employees are encouraged to become certified through the programs of the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence. Werner's is a member of the Automotive Craftsman Association which requires adoption of a code of ethics which places customer safety as the number one criteria and guarantees that every customer receives an itemized list of the repairs performed.
